A vintage board game box and acrylic painted wood on canvas with a three-dimensional element. The work is mounted behind glass within a white, wooden frame.

Featuring a common British board game from the 1950’s, this box has been deconstructed and dissected with strips of painted wood that match the colours of the hand-drawn playing pieces.

The bold intervention of the wooden strips not only provide a strong sense of movement but also a contemporary contrast to the worn condition of the cardboard box.
