A collection of original, vintage board game cards and painted wood arranged on canvas with a cut three-dimensional element. The work is mounted behind glass within a white, wooden frame.
Evoking a sense of nostalgia, these cards have been sourced from British Monopoly sets ranging from the 1930’s to the 60’s. They’ve been arranged into a geometric formation with raised circles and wooden strips that echo the shape of the London Underground logo.
The individual journey and history of each item is evident in the discoloration, marks and general wear of the paper.
