San Jacinto Mountains ll
Torn cardstock on canvas
34 x 34cm
$600
Inspired by the mountains and vibrant colors of a recent trip to Southern California, this original collage artwork captures the serene yet dynamic essence of the landscape. Created by meticulously layering torn, colored cardstock on a painted canvas, the piece evokes the majestic sight of mountain ranges receding into the distance.
The process of tearing the paper creates beautifully textured edges, each one different, forming organic patterns reminiscent of natural rock formations and distant peaks. I’ve worked with paper in collage form for many years, drawn to the way simple materials can be transformed into something expressive and enduring.
The finished work is mounted in a handmade Chilean pine floater frame and comes ready to hang.
