A collection of vintage, French flower seed packet labels arranged on painted canvas with a three-dimensional wooden component. The work is mounted behind conservation glass within a dark brown, wooden frame.

Featuring hand drawn illustrations, these vibrant, original packet labels were produced in the early to mid-20th century. After being deconstructed, the segments have been arranged in a geometric pattern reminiscent of a formal garden. Colours that are typical of the era, along with the floral images, evoke a sense of nostalgia.

This artwork is named after a prominent garden designed by revered French formal garden designer Andre Le Notre.
