A collection of original, vintage Israeli envelope segments arranged on painted canvas with a three-dimensional element. The work is mounted behind glass within a white, wooden frame.
Discovered at a flea market in Tel Aviv, these items have been organised in a geometric pattern to create a sense of movement and the raised element casts soft shadows below.
The images on these segments formed part of an envelope which displayed a public service announcement advising the population about their radio licence renewal. The vibrant colours and general aesthetic of the graphics generate a sensation of nostalgia for the mid-century era.
